“I recently used the parking facility at Edinburgh Airport and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite booking and paying for my parking spot three weeks in advance, and receiving a confirmation email with detailed instructions, the process did not go smoothly.
Upon arrival, I followed the instructions to take a ticket, which was straightforward. However, the trouble began when I attempted to leave. The machine at the exit demanded a payment of £22, indicating that the system had not recognized my pre-booked registration number.
This forced me to call the office, and after a frustrating five-minute discussion and providing my booking number, the staff finally located my reservation and I was able to exit without additional payment. While the issue was eventually resolved, it highlighted a significant problem with the booking system.
Overall, this experience was quite disappointing. The inconvenience and stress caused by the system’s failure to recognize my booking left me dissatisfied with the service. It is clear that there are issues with the booking system that need to be addressed to ensure a smoother experience for customers in the future.”
Thank you for your review,
It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes however I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.
Kind regards,

“Was easy enough to book and park etc but when leaving the car park it said we owed an outstanding balance of £120. This was at midnight we had been traveling all day and we couldn't find a number to call to fix this. Eventually we found the intercom button on the machine and pressed and and eventually got through to someone who after 5 minutes managed to get us out the car park. We were so close to just paying it as we were tired from traveling and just wanted home so wonder how many other people this happens to. Our carpark stay was only £40 for 1 day parking sp there was absolutely no chance we could of even owed £120 as we were only there for 24 hours”
