“The parking area was fine , though we ended up a fair way from where the shuttle bus is boarded. On our return, which was rather late due to planes being delayed, there was a while to wai5 for the bus, but, as our group were the only passengers, the driver dropped us off beside our car, which was good as it was raining.
When we arrived to park, we had booked and had our confirmation with us, the ANPR did not recognise our car and we had to call for assistance. We were told to just take a ticket, we were not asked for our booking number, which was worrying. On our return we called for assistance, explained what had happened, and were told to insert the ticket, which resulted in showing a very large charge. However the customer assistant was able to locate our booking and confirm that we had already paid, which was a relief!”
“Plane Parking is the best facility for anyone travelling from Edinburgh Airport and looking for a secure, cost effective and easily accessible parking for your vehicle. I will use it again, again and again. No issues at all. Park your vehicle, jump on the shuttle and in a few sceonds, you are in the airport for your onward journey. Coming back, feels like you just picked your vehicle up from your garage at home. I truly enjoyed the experience.”
“Following the directions provided we found the Plane Parking near the runway fairly easily. As we arrived and stopped at the entrance to Plane Parking a ticket was issued and the automated barrier was raised to allow entry to the car park. After finding a space and parking the car we made our way to one of two pickup/drop-off areas close to where we were parked. We only had to wait a few minutes for the airport shuttle to arrive and we were dropped of at the airport with our luggage very soon after. On returning we got the shuttle back to the car park and presented the previously issued ticket at the barrier which raised to allow exit from the car park. Our return flight was unfortunately delayed but we were not charged for the excess time which we thought we would have to pay as a result. The overall experience with Plane Parking was a positive and stress free one which helped us enjoy our holiday.”
“On exit, the ticket barrier demanded i pay £45 (for a 12 hour slit) despite me having booked qmd paid for a parking space a week or so in advance.
It was resolved pretty quickly by speaking to an advisor via the machine microphone. However, it is stress that a tried traveller does not need to deal with .”
“Pre paid before I went and picked up card at barrier on arrival however when I returned from holiday I never went to the payment machines as I had paid already when I went to exit car park and put my card in barrier machine the barrier wouldn't go up after several attempts had to push buzzer to speak to assistant who asked my registration number then raised it for me to the annoyance of the que of cars that was building up behind me overall good car park and service but maybe need to iron out the technical fault of the barriers”
