“I pre-booked a stay at the multi-storey car park from 24 April to 1 May 2023 - Order ID: 4RXCKLUNQ. My return flight on 1 May was cancelled because of industrial action by French air traffic controllers. I tried in vain on the website to extend my stay until 3 May - my new return date. On 3 May I was advised by a member of the car park team to drive to the barrier, insert my ticket and speak to him on the intercom. When I inserted my ticket, the screen showed a charge of £150. I again explained what had delayed me and was offered a discounted rate of £70! Given I originally paid £71.99 for an 8 day stay, the proposed discount appalled me. I was finally offered a charge of £50 and moments later saw a message on the screen telling me my bank account had been debited for that amount. I reckon that was an overcharge of around £25. The whole experience has left a nasty taste in my mouth! My previous experience of parking at the airport has been really good. Not this time!”
