For the most part, my experience (unlike some other reviews I've subsequently seen on Trust Pilot) was largely trouble-free. Signage was adequate (despite all the work going on around and about the facility) and the ANPR let me in no problem. Leaving on the other hand was not so smooth. First of all the barrier did not recognise my ticket and spat it back out. Knowing it was correct, I reinserted and the machine did at least take it that time and kept hold of it, the display announcing, quite aggressively I thought, that I had overstayed my welcome. The display instructed that I would have to pay £146 to get out. Well, knowing I had paid for two days, in advance, I had to use the intercom to contact support. Thankfully, someone responded quickly and, having heard my explanation and, on provision of my car registration, allowed me to exit, blaming the technology and without a word of apology.

Thank you for your review. From what you have described it sounds like our ANPR system hasn't detected you upon your entry which has resulted in your being charged the roll-up rate in error on your exit. It was rather confusing- perhaps that’s just because I’m returning to the airport for the first time in 2 years. However I found myself in fast park by accident. I was lucky it was quiet or I may have gotten stuck. I then moved to multi story (we thought we had booked that) Got a space but unfortunately when I arrived at the terminal I was advised that my flight was cancelled. We had to wait in the airport for about an hour as things got sorted out but nonetheless they didn’t and we had to accept we were just going home. Except we had to pay £50 to get out on the way back to the car which felt like running salt in the wound.

Great parking experience but have now used multi storey 4 or 5 times and had to call assistance for exit and don’t seem to be only one.

Very easy to find a space and having direct access to terminal made it so much easier to check in along with fastpass for security which allowed us to get through to the lounge and start our holiday in a relaxed mood. Leaving was a simple, load up the car and head home.

no lifts working 71 year old had to carry 2 large cases then climb stairs to level 4 and bring car to level 1 to get cases

It would appear the ANPR camera didnt read my plate on arrival. On exit at the barrier it tried to charge me £180.00 despite me paying in full the pre-paid amount of £60.00 After a short delay and re-sharing of my details, the Assistant was able to finally clarify I had paid in full and let me through

Thank you for your review. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. Getting into the multi-storey was easy and being able to use FastTrack was convenient but despite paying in advance when I came to leave the machines said I had to pay the whole fee for three days parking - over £166! I got it sorted out and did not have to pay but the aggravation is really not what you want when you have got to your home airport and are looking forward to getting home.
