“Badly signposted. We went into the wrong car park by mistake - an attendant let us in and checked our booking once we were through the barrier. We had to exit and couldn’t without paying £6. Absolutely furious - terrible set up.”

“The only problem with this carpark is it's not fully signposted -nothing to indicate where to go after the airport exit

It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes however I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.

“on exit, the machine said i owed 170 pounds even though i had paid in advance online.
i tried the intercom but it didnt get answered and there were other cars waiting to get out.
it was dark, cold and raining heavily yet i had to go back and park my car then walk back round to the exit machine to get help via the intercom before trying to exit again which eventually did work.
but not a great experience”

“The ticket gate never scans my car licence plate on entry so when i leave i have to spend 5 minutes of discussion with the man on the viacom system. he is helpful but why can't edinburgh airport get a system that works like every other carpark in the UK? also no app despite what the ticket says.”
