“The long stay car park is reasonably priced and easily accessed with plenty of spaces. The walk to the terminal is ok but would not be pleasant in poor weather as very exposed to the elements. Also unsuitable for persons with mobility issues as the bus service is no longer operational.”
Thank you for your review.
Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 12 minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them.
The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations.
Our team are aware that during adverse weather puddles can form within the walking route. We are currently looking into the most suitable solution to rectify the issue. Please accept our apologises for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Customer Support Team
“Very pleased with parking provided at Edinburgh Airport on this work trip. The lack of a surcharge for later-than-expected exit from car park when my return flight suffered a delay was much appreciated (NCP charged a large penalty for late exit when I was caught up in Sumburgh Airport closure due to the heavy snowfall in December).
However, the limitation that a parking stay can only be extended when there is a two hours or more window from the booked exit time is restrictive. The information provided by the airline or airport when a domestic flight is delayed can readily change with less than one hour notice.”
“Having used the long stay parking now on several occasions I recently encountered a small problem. Upon returning from my trip I got to the exit and placed the parking card in the machine to be told I was due £176. My parking was pre paid in advance of my trip and had to press the button for assistance. Probably just a software problem with the machine but the last thing I was needing was to be stuck at the exit after a long trip. Having spoken to several people at work they've said they encountered the same problem”
