“A better signposted path to get you to the terminal would be good and safer as cars block the path at times and the surface is uneven and in places difficult to see potholes at night”
“Long stay parking was easy to find. A big place but people were parked like idiots. Not only in bays, out of bays, on the road at the end of the rows, blocking them so you can't drive through. Parking over walkways and junctions. There was no shuttle bus, which was sorely missed in the lashing rain and gale force winds that decided to spring up from nowhere. Please bring back a shuttle service and enforce the ridiculous parking practices.”
“This review is coloured by the overall experience of returning to Edinburgh airport landing at 17:30 on a Saturday and not driving out of the Long Stay car park until 20:14.
The airport system for the plane to turn into the gate had not been activated, there were no steps and we had to disembark using the built in, steep aircraft steps by the front door only. The queue for passport control extended out of the hall, that all took about 75minutes. It was another 45 minutes after that before the bags from our flight started appearing - four flights on one carousel.
As for the parking, the signing is clear, it wasn't too hard to find spaces. The rough bit is the walk to the terminal (no shuttle buses in Long Stay as is clearly mentioned on the booking form). It is a long walk from Row H, we couldn't see a proper walkway or even a marked route until reaching the short Medium Stay section. We threaded our way between cars, the surface is rough, our wheeled suitcase survived the outward trip, but coming back the rubber was stripped from one wheel by the surface.
Edinburgh Airport please provide a properly surfaced walkway, with signs, across the Long Stay area”
