I have acne prone very fair skin so red marks linger for a long time once the blemish has gone, this definitely speeds up the redness fading process and improves the pigmentation marks left behind.
It has smoothed my texture, reduced pore size and softened fine lines.
I can either leave alone or follow with a moisturiser, I didn’t feel lacking moisture without a cream on top (this is fine alone for my combination skin).
I had never used a retinol before this product and I can say I have had no irritation , adverse affects or reaction at all. Only the slightest peeling at the sides of my nose but this shows the actives are working!

“This is my most recent Dr Sam's purchase - I have already tried all other products from this range, and am a fan of all of them, particularly the moisturiser and cleanser. However, I just cannot get on board with this product, despite it's stellar line-up of ingredients. I have been using 1% retinol for around a year with no trouble (aside from minor peeling initially). This has made my skin red, dry (in the morning I can see fine lines, particularly at the top of my cheeks), and extremely sensitive (sometimes I cannot even tolerate anything except a basic moisturiser the next day. It really is terribly disappointing. My skin looks worse than it has in years. I absolutely would not recommend this for sensitive skin. Perhaps, as another reviewer said, it plays better with oily skin. I should also note that any moisturiser applied over the top of this pills horribly for me. I know this is not as much of an issue with a night time product, but it is very unappealing.”
