“The balm is very thick and I don't agree with the description that it absorbs rapidly. It actually doesn't absorb at all, which is not bad as it will prevent moisture loss. This also makes it stick longer on the lips which is also good. However the smell is horrendous, I can't wear it during the day because of the smell. I think it's probably best as an overnight lip balm (but it will stain pillows).
So unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this because there are other lanolin based balms in the market with no smell or a more pleasant one.”
“I do not have dry lips but this product is ideal if not wearing lipstick and gives the lips a smooth protective gloss. It needs to be kept somewhere warm as it is quite hard to squeeze the thick gel from the tube”
“For me this is the best lip balm i have ever used in probably 40 odd years I have been using lip balm. It is thick and unctuous and offers a proper barrier to any irritant which comes into contact with my lips. I don't want a lip balm which sinks in too much and this doesn't. I use it around my eyes when they are particularly sore. I cannot praise this highly enough. I am gradually purchasing one for every pocke, every bag, bathroom shelf, bedside table.”
