This Primotivo from Doppio Passo is classic primitivo through and through offering a bold and powerful presence in aroma and taste. Aromas of blackberries, plums and chocolate. On the palate it is rich with cherry and blackberry fruit and a touch of vanilla amongst some oak notes. Bold, smooth and soft (perfect).This has been made in a similar way to Ripasso wine using a portion of Primotivo gapes and fermenting the wine a second time round on dried skins.Food Pairing:A great match to be served with spicy red tomato sauce pasta dishes, pork, beef or hard cheeses.

“2018, and 2019 it was my favourite Primativo, and 202 is no different. Smooth, full of dark fruits, some vanilla and leather. Great with food or without. Reliably excellent, all at a great price. You would have to spend considerably more to get a better wine, and then by only a small margin. What a wonderful grape.”
