This Primotivo from Doppio Passo is classic primitivo through and through offering a bold and powerful presence in aroma and taste. Aromas of blackberries, plums and chocolate. On the palate it is rich with cherry and blackberry fruit and a touch of vanilla amongst some oak notes. Bold, smooth and soft (perfect).This has been made in a similar way to Ripasso wine using a portion of Primotivo gapes and fermenting the wine a second time round on dried skins.Food Pairing:A great match to be served with spicy red tomato sauce pasta dishes, pork, beef or hard cheeses.

“Delicious, enjoyable wine to have with savory meal or just on it's own. Not robustly complex but has good definition and smooth yet distinct flavours. Best after allowing to breathe for 20 minutes. Definitely will purchase again.”

“First had this in a restaurant, was so blown away I photographed the bottle and when we got home a quick web search located it and I bought 12 bottles. Lovely jammy red, lots of flavour and great from the moment you take the cork out.”
