This Primotivo from Doppio Passo is classic primitivo through and through offering a bold and powerful presence in aroma and taste. Aromas of blackberries, plums and chocolate. On the palate it is rich with cherry and blackberry fruit and a touch of vanilla amongst some oak notes. Bold, smooth and soft (perfect).This has been made in a similar way to Ripasso wine using a portion of Primotivo gapes and fermenting the wine a second time round on dried skins.Food Pairing:A great match to be served with spicy red tomato sauce pasta dishes, pork, beef or hard cheeses.

“Bought a bottle in a restaurant whilst on holiday in St Ives . So delicious and smoothe. Found out who the supplier was and been buying ever since. Would definitely recommend it .”
