“I was disappointed when the cake arrived , instead of the miniature jars as advertised in the picture received cheap looking sachets. I had to spend even more money to buy the jars from Amazon. I could have got a better cake from a local cake maker. I’d use the company again if I’d left it to late to order one else where as delivery was good being able to order the day before required.”
“Cake was decent. Not great, but not bad either. Considering, I paid £45 including delivery, you'd think it would be a little special or something memorable. The picture didn't look like what actually arrived, as there wasn't a mini jar of Nutella.
Also, I ordered a Nutella cake but there wasn't much Nutella in there, just normal, simple chocolate. I'd value the cake at £15-20 maximum.”
“I think it would be a four or five star review if the I'd ordered a chocolate cake. But in all honesty, I just couldn't make out the hazelnut in it. I think with it being covered with Nutella bits and, well, its name, I was expecting a strong, nutty flavour and it was really a pretty standard (albeit rich and delicious) chocolate.
Added to which, while there is a disclaimer stating the Nutella pots might not be as they appear, it was pretty disappointing to get two of the disposable packets you get from a breakfast buffet stuffed into the top.
All in, the service was great and it was a lovely cake, but not what I was hoping for.”
“When I received the cake it was very badly damaged as if someone had shaken the cake upside down. I was left with half a cake that I had to put in the bin. It was my son's 21St and had to go and buy a shop-bought cake which was very disappointing. After speaking to the manager he was very apologetic and did offer me a quick full refund to rectify the issue. Unfortunately, I wouldn't order a cake from this company again as I would be too worried about what state the cake arrived in. I also felt the cake was very small for the price I paid.”
