“This us the second safeguarding course I have taken here and I highly recommend it. Being a teacher, I do safeguarding courses at school regularly but I always feel I am missing gaps in my learning so I like to do an extra one in my own time and this one was outstanding. There was a mini quizz at the end of each module and a final quizz at the end. It really tested my knowledge. I like that the certificate is downloaded instantly, and I am waiting for the certificate to arrive in the post. It's worth the price and time.”

“Generally a positive experience; however, I have two comments. 1. Some teachers taking this course may have personal histories they have kept private over many years but include experiences which make course material a potential 'trigger' issue. More experienced teachers will probably have met such material before and have some strategies but for teachers new to the profession, this may be their first encounter. Safeguarding is always a challenging topic but some of the content - particularly around FGM and 'ironing' - is less well-known and could provoke real distress. I know the material has to be covered, and I am glad that it is, but I do think there could be sources of support and information at the start and the end of the course in case of this material activating any personal trauma. 2. It is a minor point but the phrasing of some questions was awkward as questions used language and terms not used in the training materials e.g. a question on Thresholds of Needs used the term 'emerging' which is not explicitly linked to a specific threshold in the training text.”
