“It was too detailed in terms of legislation, I work in the leisure industry where there can be children in an adult environment. Really what I needed was a simple overview of legislation, safeguarding procedures in the workplace, then more practical tips of inappropriate behaviour around children, how to protect myself if helping a child who is distressed/hurt/lost, more on early warning signs of neglect, abuse, coercive behaviours, etc... and then ways to report any concerns.”
