When our local bakery (Hertford St in Oxford) closed I started making our own bread, trying to recreate the taste of the great bread we had enjoyed. Trying Matthews flour was a eureka moment - clearly the white, wholemeal and Cotswold Crunch loaves we liked so much were made with Matthews flour. It's amazing what a huge difference the flour makes to the taste and structure of the finished bake. I use this organic white for all types of yeasted bread and rolls and it's always great. I can now tell myself that the only reason my bread isn't exactly like the bakery bread is that they weren't using the organic white ...

Have been using this to bake sourdough bread, been amazing to work with! Alittle expensive compared to other brands but lovely.

Been baking with this flour for a few years now and loving every batch, whether just for pitta , ciabatta, sough dough or bread rolls it's a great flour to work with and bake. Keep up the great milling guys :)

I've been making our family's bread for decades, and have used flour from this mill for just as long. This strong white flour is good for tasty white loaves or for mixing with seeded flour. The fact that it's also organic is an extra bonus.
