“I was not well advised about cancelling my policy. I think that someone should have made contact with me to find out if I was intending to transfer to new policy or not when I had asked for a quote for a new vehicle. The outcome was that I went with a different insurance company The RAC in effect gave me almost no refund on my insurance and breakdown cover which had more than 3 months still to run. I would advise people not to purchase insurance from RAC based on my experience. I have not experienced such poor service from other insurers.
I think it is disgraceful charging £55 administration when I set up policy online and printed my own documents. It also cost me 3 expensive phone calls to seek the new quote and then cancel policy.”
