“RAC are abysmal from start to finish, insured by them for three years, the experience got worse year on year. On year two after settling up 'in full' I was then sent a letter a couple of weeks later demanding an extra £24 in unpaid fees or my policy was null and void. Outrageous.
Ultimately in year three I was to be penalised with an extra £60 as I missed the renewal deadline by around 11 hours. Upon ringing to renew I asked if anything could be done about this and was firmly told no ~ what happened to the days of negotiations and the customer always being right?
Absolutely no attempt made to retain me as a customer, therefore I went elsewhere and saved £101.00. Most impressive (but not by the RAC).”
