WHAT ARE PARDINA LENTILS Lentils are widely eaten in Spain in a variety of dishes and it is normally the Pardina lentil that is used. Easily recognised, Pardina lentils are small in size with a characteristic greenish-brown colour. Their skin is smooth and their texture is consistent, holding their shape very well after cooking. They have a light nutty flavour, slightly earthy with a peppery finish. However, it is their exquisite flavour that really makes Pardina lentils stand out from any other lentil varieties. HOW TO USE PARDINA LENTILS Pardina lentils are fantastic in soups and stews or served cold in salads. Use in any Spanish lentil stews, like lentils with chorizo. This lentil is guaranteed to give you a great result every time. For best results, soak your Pardina lentils in cold water overnight.

Must admit - I was a little sceptical that these lentils would taste substantially better than our usual (supermarket) brand....but we were knocked out yet again by the lovley flavour, bite and visual impact of this quality product. Loved the packaging for this too.....comes in its own little 'sack'!! Thank you Basco!!

Since I tried this lentils I don't want to buy other any others. They are super yummy. They are very meaty and at the same time the skin is extremely smooth and thin. I leave them soaking over night (although you probably don't need it but I think you digest them better...). We mostly cook as a stew, doing a sofrito first with carrot, peppers, onions, garlic) and Bay leave, spanish paprika (pimenton), from Basco too, gammon and chorizo. All the family love them! Even my I had to forward the recipe you have at the blog to my in laws!
