Tarta de Santiago is a traditional Spanish almond cake, originating in Galicia and named after the city of Santiago and Spain's patron saint. Dating back to the Middle Ages, this authentic cake features the cross of St James iced on top. Our ready-to-eat Tarta de Santiago weighs 700g and measures 27cm in diameter by 2cm in height, yielding 6 to 8 slices. Made from ground almonds for a crumbly texture.

“I used to buy Tarta de Santiago freshly made when I was growing up and would go to Santiago on holidays. I was not sure if this one would be as good and I am pleased to say that it was. I bought two to share them with collagues and they absolutely loved it.”

“Absolutely beautifully flavoured cake. Moist, not overly sweet, and with a lovely texture. Generous size. Tried this on impulse after recently enjoying a Sainsbury’s festive equivalent (Tuscany almond cakes). Far exceeded this! Would definitely buy again!”
