GRAPE VARIETIES 100% Pedro Ximenez TASTING NOTES Deep, rich nose reminiscent of prunes and chocolate. On the palate it is a sumptuous wine of great intensity; rich, concentrated fruit in the mouth with a full, juicy, succulence and seemingly unending finish. FOOD PAIRING A marvellous way to end a meal, to sip with dessert or use as a topping on ice cream, fruit-salads and pastries or with blue cheese. Deliciously refreshing with ice.

This made a great Pedro ximenez sauce to go with the pork secreto.

Now we are talking! This 'sherry' is so delicious I will always have a bottle or two handy. It can be served with dessert or cheese, used in cooking, particularly sauces. In fact I am going to give a fried of mine a bottle, as, at dinner parties he always insists on serving dessert before cheese, so now we can have a nice dessert wine and an equivalent to a tawny port with the cheese. Thank you Basco for bringing this sherry to my attention.

Really enjoy this lighter style of Pedro Ximenez. Sweet but not overly so. Again, really good value for money.

There are so many varieties of Pedro Ximenez that is difficut to compare for a non-connosieur like me. But I know what I like and this is one of them. Make sure you drink it cold. It goes superbly with Manchego cheese and of course with jamon serrano. Polvorones if you feel really decadent!
