Iberico Presa Steak, 1.2kg, Free-Range, Acorn-Fed, Tender & Marbled Pork Shoulder Steak Reviews

Read Basco Fine Foods Reviews

Presa Iberica is a delicious and tender meat cut from the Iberico pig, located near the head of the loin. This thick shoulder steak is a beautiful, flavorful cut that melts in your mouth. Presa Iberica is known for its marbling and juiciness, making it a popular choice for quick pan-searing. Its free-range, acorn-fed source contributes to its complex flavor and rich, melt-in-your-mouth fat. Iberico pigs are indigenous to Spain and live an ideal life rooting for acorns under cork and holm oak trees, resulting in a unique and delectable meat experience.

Overall an excellent product, tried Iberica at one of Michel Rouxs Jr’s. restaurants a few months ago and was mightily impressed, this product matched those earlier experiences. Only criticism I have is the size of the product. Would have preferred it in about 500gram joints. As it comes frozen smaller sizes would be better appreciated and I would have given 5 stars *****

This is a great piece of meat. It can be prepared slow as sous vide, or seared pink. Either way, the flavour of the fat and texture of meat is great and great value when the 25% offer is on.

Have to say I have had the secreto in restaurants before and I have loved it. This is even more lean and very similar texture to fillet steak but even more flavoursome! Can't fault anything including brilliant service and packaging. I ordered a few bits including the Spanish 'black pudding's (superb!) and the iberico pork and cherry pate which I was devestated to drop and smash! This is a site that I will be sure to use many times this coming year. Thanks so much Basco.
