Freshly caught from the Cantabrico Sea, these boquerones are filleted by hand and marinated in extra virgin olive oil and white wine vinegar. The vinegar pickles them, sealing in their fresh taste while the olive oil introduces a smooth, silky flavor. Boquerones are not salty and have a much milder taste than traditional anchovies. Serve them on crusty bread with piquillo peppers or alone with chopped garlic and parsley. They are also great in salads or skewered with a pickled guindilla and an olive as a tasty tapa. These boquerones are flash frozen soon after they are caught and then thawed and prepared, ensuring they arrive to you with pristine condition.
