Freshly caught from the Cantabrico Sea, these boquerones are filleted by hand and marinated in extra virgin olive oil and white wine vinegar. The vinegar pickles them, sealing in their fresh taste while the olive oil introduces a smooth, silky flavor. Boquerones are not salty and have a much milder taste than traditional anchovies. Serve them on crusty bread with piquillo peppers or alone with chopped garlic and parsley. They are also great in salads or skewered with a pickled guindilla and an olive as a tasty tapa. These boquerones are flash frozen soon after they are caught and then thawed and prepared, ensuring they arrive to you with pristine condition.

I've been looking for pickled anchovis for a very long time, every other supplier dissapointed me greatly. Until I found Salanort Boquerones from Basco. They are perfect! They are exactly what I was looking for! They are the best as little canapes on fresh lettuce and brown rye bread, with a slice of red onion and nothing else. I will be definitely buying more of these!
