“I bought these to replace my Salter kitchen scales which -after years of faithful service - I had killed off with a batch of very wet rye dough. The KD8000 are in a different league: sturdy, much less vulnerable to moisture with the weighing platform separate from the controls, the plastic shield adding another layer of protection. They are powered by AA batteries (so no more buying expensive CR2032 button cells!), or alternatively via mains adapter. The backlit display is excellent and easily seen with large bowls being weighed too. I have not used the bakery's percentage function yet, so cannot comment on that.
This is an excellent piece of equipment for the frequent/serious baker, and I would buy it again.”
“Light weight scales that are accurate to 1 gram. Cover over the display which makes it easy to read and clean. The initial outlay maybe a little expensive but with a 30 year warranty should be well worth it as we use it every day. This was one of 4 items bought and all were delivered together well packaged within 4 days. Great service.”
