“I bought these to replace my Salter kitchen scales which -after years of faithful service - I had killed off with a batch of very wet rye dough. The KD8000 are in a different league: sturdy, much less vulnerable to moisture with the weighing platform separate from the controls, the plastic shield adding another layer of protection. They are powered by AA batteries (so no more buying expensive CR2032 button cells!), or alternatively via mains adapter. The backlit display is excellent and easily seen with large bowls being weighed too. I have not used the bakery's percentage function yet, so cannot comment on that.
This is an excellent piece of equipment for the frequent/serious baker, and I would buy it again.”
