“It was the first time I bought this brand of yeast I have always used an active yeast before but never this brand, my first impression was it is a stronger flavor than the one I had been using and I had to play about with the amounts of yeast, which ended up a longer rise 'time wise' but a longer rise doesn't bother me and the flavor is really tasty, I couldn't go back to the other brand I used to use because the loaf would not taste the same.”
“So far, have only used this once but it worked perfectly (in this instance slow proving, 3 proves before baking) and the wholemeal loaf was absolutely delicious. The tin is opened with a tin opener but comes with a plastic reusable lid for storage.”
“Works absolutely fine but I have found it has a stronger smell, and therefore added yeasty flavour to my bread, compared to the Allinson’s yeast, or other yeasts available in normal supermarkets. Personally wouldn’t buy again if I can get hold of the Allinson’s tins.”
