I had previously been making sourdough in a cast iron casserole, but it is much easier to transfer the dough into the cloche after it is risen.

Makes perfect sourdough (as long as you do all the right stretching and folding ). Bought as a gift during lockdown and has been used by it's owner and by me multiple times a week.

I bought this for my husband who’s been baking for 5 years and he is delighted with it. He usually makes sourdough bread in it and we are so impressed with the lovely, even-coloured crust. He loves is so much that I’ve bought a lozenge shaped one for Christmas so we don’t have round loaves all the time!

I was disappointed, i get better results with a lidded ceramic casserole. But i do use the base for pitta etc and its works well
