The Cloche is just the right size for a loaf proofed in one of Bakery Bits 1kg proofing baskets. I now put the loaf in the cold cloche and haven't noticed any difference from preheating it. Make sure to season the base well before use. I clearly didn�۪t as my first two loaves stuck a bit. I oiled the base well on the next few bakes and that fixed the problem. Since then I have just used dusted the base of the loaves before tipping into the base and that has worked well.”
