“I love the bread I get from this but I have only given it 4 stars because of the handle. It is very tiny and seems to be designed to just allow you to slip your fingers through comfortably. That is fine until you have a very hot lid to contend with! It is really difficult to lift the lid with an oven glove on and I am constantly worried that I am going to drop and break it. It would be better with handles on each side that you can get hold of with two hands like a casserole dish - or even a larger handle on the top that you can get a better grip of.”

I had been using an old chicken brick which produced reasonable results but was not quite big enough for larger loaves and my reservation was whether the Dome would produce results that justified the expense. Having now used the Dome I have to say that my reservations were unfounded, the Dome has been excellent, and I am delighted that I splashed out on one.”
