“I paid a premium price for what I hoped would be a lame that was not only practical but beautiful and would last a lifetime. The wooden handle is lovely, smooth and a perfect shape to sit comfortably in the hand. However, in the photographs, the metal piece which holds the blade in place is plain (without pattern) and looks like a heavy-weight darker yellow metal like brass. In actual fact, the yellow metal holder has a slightly cheap looking pattern engraved into it, is bright gold, thin metal and looks rather tacky compared to the quality of the handle. I will keep it as I struggled to find a lame which has a strong box to keep it in to avoid accidents with such a sharp tool and because the handle is so comfortable but I really hoped for more. Perhaps the manufacturers have changed their materials because it certainly does not look to be the same quality as the ones in the photos. I can's seem to see any way to attach a photo or I would so prospective buyers can see the current item being shipped.”
