“Why has it taken me this long to realise that I needed this tin in my life? I have bee using a standard 2lb loaf tin, but decided I needed something deeper for decent sized sandwich loaves. My tin arrived last week, I baked my first loaf in it and oh my goodness a beautiful deep, straight sided loaf which slipped right out with no greasing necessary. A nice strong heavy tin. Loaf dropped out of it straight away. I had oiled it with olive oil, but suspect that it wasn't necessary.
I had thought that I was buying a tin that wan't non-stick, as non-stick coatings are not that robust, in my experience, but I'm happy to accept it and am thinking of buying a second. The non-stick surface does look very good.
There was a mention of a lid, on the website, though a lid was not received. Again, not an issue for me, as I didn't want one!
In the instructions, there was an injunction to remove the 'clip', before use. Yet I couldn't find the said 'clip'. I presumed that it was something to do with the missing lid and carried on regardless!
It has produced an excellent loaf and, despite the comments above, I'm very satisfied with it!”
“I needed a larger tin for the size bread loaf I normally make. Having read the previous reviews this 3lb Masterclass bread tin seemed it would fit the bill. Having received the item I can confirm it is very good quality, it is of a significantly heavier construction than any of my other bread tins and the non stick coating so far seems great all tho it does appear some other purchasers seem to have had issues with the coating on theirs. To date I would highly recommend this tin!”
