“I've hunted high and low for another one of these since the one given to me by a professional kitchen supplier over 30 years ago disappeared down the back of some unit or other. So many seem to be made of scarily sharp metal. This one is perfect: made from plastic that is soft enough to feel harmless but firm enough to do the job, whether it's gently picking up bread rolls as shown in the picture, or scraping up dried-on pastry from a worktop.”
