The Q UP Automatic Tonearm Lifter Reviews

4.6 Rating 37 Reviews
I was ignorant of the exact mounting requirements for the Q UP lifter; it does not fit my Audio Technica USB table. A request to return the clevery-built lifter has been ignored.

So far it’s worked flawlessly. Not really elegant and seems like it is overpriced for what it consists of, but it does work well.

called first instead of ordering first and found out my pro ject turntable was probably the easiest one to set up it was! first try and no problem highly recommended

It has been so helpful in saving playing time on my needle. I always walk away and forget that a record is on, but now I don't need to worry about it!

This device delivers what it promises at a price that will make you happy. Its build quality is good (it is plastic and does not have opulent stainless steel components) and the mechanism works reliably. It does take some tweaking to get it to work "just right," but the patient installer will be rewarded. I am using it on a Rega 'table, which means that it mounts without the base. That's my only quibble with it - the manufacturer knows that the device is jut a bit too tall, and has resolved the problem by eliminating one of the parts (which, I believe, would make adjusting it a tad easier). However, I have been satisfied with using double-sided tape (as the manufacturer recommends) and it has worked fine. It is worth the price of admission.

Does a good job, takes an adjustment period to get it correctly set.
