Pangea Audio Turntable Stand with Vinyl Record Storage - Black Reviews

4.6 Rating 126 Reviews
“It is absolutely great. It looks beautiful without my equipment on it and it looks even better with my equipment organized on it. It has plenty of room to hold mine receiver/amplifier, CD player, and my turntable on the top. I highly recommend this item.”

“Very easy to assemble and looks great. I use it to store my large box set remixes of classic albums as many of the box sets are the size of an album.”

“This is a great value but needs three simple inexpensive mods to reach the potential promised in the description. 1) Very sturdy front to back but NOT very stable side to side, especially if you plan to use it as a turntable stand. Fixed by adding an aluminum X-cross brace across the back screwed in to every shelf. 2) Inexplicably, the screws for the top shelf are not flush with the top so they interfere with turntable feet. Fixed by countersinking the screw holes and using countersink hex bolts. Finally, 3) The shelves are sturdy enough for albums and equipment but the top shelf is not a good platform for a heavy turntable like my Technics SP-10 with plinth (60+ lbs.). It also wasn't quite large enough for my turntable because of the curved front edge of the shelf. Fixed both issues by completely replacing top shelf with Butcher Block Acoustics 1 3/4" thick 18' x 24" slab of heavy maple. Required drilling countersink screw holes in the block and using longer M8-1.25x70mm countersink bolts for the added thickness of the platform. Now it's a rock solid stable great looking turntable stand for not much money.”

Thank you for your comments. Offering recessed top caps would increase the costs so the manufacturer did not include this feature. Yes, the entire stand can be made more rigid by adding a heavier and thicker top shelf, however, this would also increase both the raw material cost and the shipping weight so it was not included. You always have the option of buying and installing the 21mm-thick Extra Heavy Duty Vulcan Shelf. See below. This shelf is much cheaper than your do-it-yourself mod with the butcher block maple shelf, although the maple shelf will undoubtedly be more attractive. https://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PGVUS21

“Great value! Relatively easy to set up. Hardest part of assembly was placing the devoted washers under the spike to protect a wood floor. If I was too buy this again, I would order the 4 shelf version.”

“Can't review what I don't have. I don't understand why you would send this survey out. My account say this part of my order (#986113) is on backorder. You did charge me but I don't recall ever hearing from you. I's been over a month. Was supposed to be a BDay present for my wife. Good thing that you at least sent out the speaker stands. I'm wait another week or two and then maybe cancel. It would be nice to get a status.”
