“Owned the PS audio dectet for two years but comparing with octet i can detect finer resolution of micro-details across the music spectrum from top to bottom. Ordered octet because in the description says it features George Cardas internal wires and beryllium copper in the outlets. Both strips are well made although with the clear outlets on the octet you can see the copper traces inside. That's pretty cool. Keeping octet in my primary system”
“I bought the Octet to replace a PS Audio Quintet I've owned for about four years. The Quintet cost me around $500 which is the same price I paid for the top-of-the-line Octet model with Cardas internal wires and ultra-premium outlets. The Octet offer good construction. I's more compact than the PS Audio strip and it weighs less. After plugging in my components and listening for a bit I noticed an improvement in musical transparency over the PS Audio. After a few days of listening I went back to the PS Audio for a comparison. The PS strip sounded warmer in the mid-range frequencies but I noticed a loss of information and airiness in the highs. Going back to Octet my music was immediately more transparent. The difference reminded me of a debate I had years ago with a friend comparing Coke and Pepsi. We both agreed that Pepsi tasted sweeter than Coke, but while I like the Pepsi more he preferred the less sweet Coke. In my main system I prefer the sound of the Octet. I still like the Quintet, but I moved it down to my second system in the den.”

“Color me a skeptic of many of the claims made by voodoo audio manufacturers. Pangea Audio is changing my mind. I started off trying the AC-14 on my Oppo player and saw an improvement in picture clarity and color intensity. I tried the $25 Pangea outlet and noticed it cleaned up some background noise I hadnt noticed before. This Octet is the best product yet. It took my system to a new level. The top end is now crystal clear. I can't believe how much information I was not hearing before because of a stupid power center that cost me more than the $250 Octet. Its depressing to think about.”

“Let me say right off the bat I like this product. It replaces a power conditioner that was developing a hum. The Octet XL is totally dead quiet. The XL-type outlets are best I've seen on any power conditioner even ones costing five grand. I think my system sounds cleaner with the Octet. Its more like I'm getting power straight from the wall. I sprung for the top XL model which I figured was a bargain considering it has $400 worth of high-grade outlets and expensive Cardas wire inside. I know that Cardas wire isn't cheap. Did I mention that I really like these outlets? Just what I was looking for.”
