“Tried to purchase basic Octet for $199 which appears to be 20% off, website states free shipping above $35.00 but when you go to checkout there is no free shipping option and the least expensive option is 3 day for $30.00 so they discount it 20% but try and gouge you for 15% in shipping charges, great customer service strategy, they do not even offer a reasonable ground shipping rate which I would be glad to pay since I do not need it right away, between attempting reach sales and "customer service" I spent over two hours trying to reach someone by phone for clarification but was left on perma-hold. Audio Advisor used to be a reputable retailer but not so much anymore I guess.”
“The Octet Premier XL is a very well-made power strip. It really grips the power cords that are plugged into it. I plug my power cables into the Octet that are too wide to fit directly into my PS Audio P5's outlets. I haven't noticed a difference in sound when using it, good or bad. One negative thing about it is that, as well-constructed and heavy as it is, if you plug a lot of heavy-duty power cables into it, it will tip over on its side. The edges of it are sharp, so I worry about it cutting into my audio rack when that happens. I had the same problem when I tried the Emotiva CMX-6 power conditioner. YMMV, as this issue may only be applicable when you use the Octet in an audio rack, as opposed to putting it on the floor (which I haven't tried.).”

“After reading some harsh criticism on the Richard Gray 400 Pro power conditioner I've been using two years now, I decided to give this one a try. I've always read great things about Pangea products, but this was the first time I purchased one. The quality and polish of unit is better than the Richard Gray and the outlets look far more advanced in construction. After pluggin in my Shunyata power cords I noticed a increase in my system transparency. Everything sounds cleaner and clearer especially on the top end and with my favorite arias. The symphonic bells in Cantate Domino sound mesmerizingly real. I'm working my way through my favorite vinyl and so far everything sounds better. This was a major improvement for me which I can highly recommend.”
