For a long time I was waiting for a good price opportunity to purchase this power strip. I was not disappointed at the price and the great quality of this power strip. Fit perfectly in my system. Thank you so much. Definitely will purchase more as my needs arise.

Good solid build. Holds everything nice and tightly. So far utterly reliable.

The Pangea Octet is sturdy and well made, and can provide power to a wide range of equipment. I use it for a range of products - from a three-way standlamp to a high quality DAC. Seven items in all. Though the unit is rated at 20 amps, the supplied cable is thin and cheap. I replaced it with a Pangea 20 amp 6 foot cable that easily delivers all the clean AC I need to the box.

This is a solid unit however pangea needs to have better quality control or something could go terribly wrong and I'll explain why. After receiving the outlet center I was initially happy with the build quality but i's wha's on the inside that really matters. I was curious about how pangea wired the outlets together and since I couldn't find any pics online I disassembled the case and tha's where things went south real fast. Pangea used jumpers instead of discrete runs to wire the outlets. This method works but isn't ideal and i's just a way to cut cost during manufacturing. I then examined even closer just to find that the hot line connection on the first outlet along with the ground were visibly loose. Then moving down the line I found 2 additional grounds and 2 neutral connections loose. This is honestly a real concern as most should know what could've happened if I didn't catch this. Correct me if I'm wrong but when a circuit is under load a loose connection can cause high resistance and the high resistance can cause heat. At the end of the day nothing happened but tha's not the point. The outlet center is a decent product for the price but at what cost are you willing to save when a product could potentially do damage? Please be careful! The attached pics are to show the internals, not the loose screws.
