“These are solid stands that were easy to assemble. I filled the pair with sand. Fifty pounds fit perfectly in the eight columns. Beware the top is quite small. I made a larger top out of plywood and attached it with M6 bolts so my rather large two-way speakers sit more stably.”
“These are easy to assemble stands that arrived in perfect condition since they were so well packaged. The Pangea Audio DS400s are very solid stands and I use them to support my 20 lb speakers. Using some Blu Tack damping compound to interface with the stands, the speakers sound terrific. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend these stands.”
“These stands were a breeze to assemble, with excellent fit and finish. These live up to the heavy-duty label, with sufficient mass so that I haven't felt compelled to fill them with shot just yet. The rounded corners on the bases are also a nice touch, especially since I've placed these in a bedroom. Overall, I'm delighted with these stands and recommend them without hesitation!”
“The larger top plate and four vertical tubes makes for a nice stand. I now have a set for my av rear surrounds after using them in my two channel setup (filled with play sand) with great success.”
“These stands, 27 inch for my Harbeth P3 ESR's shocked me with how well they are made for the money. Everything went together easily and with precision, No surprises, no missing parts, no dented packaging, nothing bent. Super fast shipping from Audio Advisor and couldn't be more pleased. Going to fill them with sand tomorrow for even more solidity. Thanks!”
Glad you like them.
Regarding sand - - be sure to use kiln-dried "play sand" that can be purchased at a local hardware, Lowes or Home Depot store. This sand has a very low moisture content.
