“It's quite far from the terminal, which shouldn't be such an issue. What is a problem is the frequency of the buses. You have to wait quite a long time, and then they are really full. On the way back there must have been 100-200 people waiting for a bus. The driver also drove quite fast, not in a comfortable way for the passengers, who were mostly standing up, so you get thrown around quite a bit. Sadly not a great experience.”
“We prebooked and arrived in good time. However, after walking our bags to the shuttle bus stop, on one of the hottest days of the year, we found a long queue. Three buses came past, but only to drop off passengers. Attempts to contact APH routed us to Manchester airport, and was of very little help. Eventually, after 45 mins a bus arrived and shoehorned the now desperate queue into one bus. Halfway to the arrivals lounge, a medical emergency (probably induced by queuing in the boiling hot sun with no shade) caused the bus to stop. We were then given the option of walking the remainder of the way. As we started to do this, but police arrived and gave us permission to continue. I am sure some people missed flights due to these delays. We were lucky to manage it. It was obvious this was caused by staff shortages. Undoubtably, the most stressful car parking I have had in 60 years of flying.”
