“We have used APH for over 20 years now as always found them reliable. On returning from our week away on Sunday 16th February into Terminal 1 we were lucky enough to get straight through due to having no luggage to collect. On exiting baggage claim i received the text message confirming receipt of my message to say we had arrived (2352) - on exiting the terminal building we saw the Bus pulling round the corner towards the bus stop E - my husband ran to get the drivers attention - behind the bus waving and whistling to get his attention - the driver pulled up to the bus stop and was literally there for 5 seconds before he pulled away.
We then waited for the next bus (20-30 minute wait) on arrival at reception my husband asked to speak to the duty manager to be asked by the lady who gave us our keys "Why what is wrong" in a surley manor - once all the customers on the bus had been given their keys the duty manager came to see my husband - he appologised but the lady who was on reception told my husband that the drivers could not wait around as they got fined for doing so which we found strange as other buses have waited before!
The lady was quite rude in her responses and just tried to brush it off - all my husband was trying to get across was that he had made every effort to get the drivers attention and if they had waited just 30 seconds more he would have been at the bus stop. as you can understand after a full days travelling to have the then wait a further 30 minutes to get to your car is not ideal - if you are taking peoples return flight numbers im not sure why you arent using them to gauge when to send the buses and how many to pick up from each terminal when the texts are sent to say they are through baggage collection.”
