“The car parking was satisfactory with a transfer bus stop within easy reach. We were delighted to find a bus waiting for us when we got back from holiday. However, we did have a problem getting out of the car park as did the vehicle in front of us. There was an instruction to enter an access code at the barrier and the AMPR didn't seem to be working and raising the barrier. We thought there must have been another exit and ended up, like the vehicle before us, driving around the car park trying to find another exit point. However, we ended up at the original one behind the other car and we both exited without a further problem. Gremlins? I do feel the necessity to remark that the airport parking at East Midlands is expensive.”
“No problems accessing the car park. Parking spot found with ease and access to transport bus easily found. Only suggestion would be to perhaps have APH logo on signage for long stay 2 car park as postcode for satnav took us past the turning and we were looking for APH signage.”
“The car park is at the edge of the airport. It’s not within walking distance if you have luggage. Spaces were easy to find. The shuttle bus is easy to use. It’s good value and did the job. I will use it again.”
“We arrived at the bus stop to go back to our car around 2am we were travelling around to long stay carpark 1 first and the driver a Sikh gentleman didn't let us know we had arrived at this carpark we asked but no reply luckily one of the passengers knew so they got off on the second stop we said to the driver is this long stay carpark 2 ...no answer so we carried on we didn't know where we were then I said can you tell the people on the bus where longstay carpark 2 is please most of us on the bus have never stayed in this car park before he looked at us and never answered his face said it all ,he did eventually say long stay carpark 2 the passengers were not sure ,will not go in this carpark again ....at 2 o'clock in the morning pitch black you want some assurance of getting off at the correct stop with this driver this time we didn't get that. Basically a lack of communication, just stopping at bus stops and expecting tired passengers to know where they are isn't good enough.”
