Much better than having to get a shuttle bus after a long flight would definately recommend

The car was prebooked but the number plate wasn't recognised so we had to call after waiting in a queue of 3 as previous cars weren't recognised either. On the way out exactly the same thing but a long wait with a queue of 6 cars. The price and location were good but a hassle getting in and out.

This is a great value, super-convenient airport parking option. Very easy to find the car park, and just a walk or very short bus journey from the terminal. Easy system for entry and exit too. We arrived back a couple of hours late and just a quick call to the help-line got us on the road no bother. Thanks - will be using again Adrian

Parking was fine, but the entry was worrying because the barrier didn’t automatically recognise my number plate, even when I scanned my booking code, so I pressed the button, and a ticket came out, and the barrier went up, so I parked and didn’t give it another thought until I tried to exit the car park, the barrier didn’t go up, I then put in the ticket that I was given, to my shock I was being asked for £130 even though I prepaid, I had to reverse out from the barrier and get on the phone, thankfully it got sorted, but was a bit stressful at the time

The main plus about Carpark 5 is that it is very close to the terminal. The carpark spaces are quite tight though, so if you have a larger car it can be difficult to park. The paving is not very good though, so pulling a heavy suitcase was a rough ride. We had an issue where our flight was delayed by 24 hours and we were unable to contact Birmingham airport car park to inform them, so we contacted APH instead who didn't want to help at all (even though we booked the parking through them), so I wasn't happy about that. When we did manage to collect our car, the Carpark wanted a £230 late fee because they weren't informed of our delay! I've been a very happy APH customer for years, but this has made me want to consider other providers on my next trip.

Fantastic carpark, great bus service, getting out wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Tried scanning my ticket which isn't big enough to hold under the scanner without getting fingers in the way and it wouldn't scan. I thought I was doing it wrong so I put it in the machine and it swallowed it telling me I owe £143. The man on the other end of the button sorted it out but the machine is too high to reach and when there's lots of cars behind waiting it put you under pressure.

Close to airport ,plenty of spaces available to park.
