“Great arrival very smooth, at the drop off driver explained the pickup procedure for our car park.
On arrival back bus was pulling out driver stopped and asked what colour ticket we had and we jumped on great service.”
“Hit and miss really. If you are parked in the green section then all good but in the red or blue with anything bigger than a fiat 500 you will struggle. For some reason car park owners seem obsessed with spaces at right angles to the road. If they just put them on an angle you would be able to park so much easier. Half the carpark is just in crushed stone. It was fine in the daylight as you could see the bays but in the dark not a chance. Pay a bit extra and get valet parking is my advise.”
“This is the first time we've used this site, but we'd certainly do so again. In contrast to the old APH site, it's very close to the airport, and it couldn't be simpler to use: checked in at the gate, you park your own car, take your keys with you and catch the bus! You're also given a colour coded ticket for the bus on return. All staff were efficient and polite, and it's easy to find... as long as you follow their instructions, rather than rely on the satnav.”
“The experience was confusing when arriving in Birmingham, as the signage outside of the car parking indicated 'Short Runs' and no mention of APH, we had turned around and spent a further 45 minutes looking for APH. even stopping to ask Taxi Drivers who did not know where APH was located. at 2:45am we couldn't even get through on the phone (experiencing very busy period).
It was only when we came back and asked the man at the entrance that we were told it was the correct place. maybe making all relevance to Short Runs on paperwork to prevent confusion.”
“Parking lot poorly lit at night, narrow parking spaces, muddy when it rains. Dirty shoes and carpets in the car. No supervision when picking up the car. Buses poorly marked, colors and zones. Problems with calling the number provided when returning.”
“The car park and transfers were good, however the directions from the M6 were very poor due to the construction around the new roundabouts and roads. It put the Sat Nav off road and it switched off. Then left in the dark stressed due to unforseen motorway problems a few APH car park signs strategically placed on or near islands or turnings would help.”
