Bus driver going too fast drove right by our stop. No one informed us we needed to press the button for the stop we wanted. No announcement of the stops we were passing. Ended up walking 3 stops to our car

From the Thistle hotel to the long stay parking and return journey back home everything went smoothly, can’t recommend enough.

It was a great place to park, easily accessible to Heathrow . Only really annoying thing were the directions to the entrance of the car park. We went round and round for at least 20 minutes before we found it .

My booking confirmation included the incorrect postcode so I navigated to the incorrect, poorly-signposted and poorly-lit car park pre-5am. On eventual arrival at the correct car park, I was not issued a ticket and the person I spoke to via the assistance call was not hugely helpful. They took my booking reference, and told me I was only able to park from 6am to 6pm. My flights were outbound at 6.10am and return at 5.45pm so it would have been impossible for me to park within those timings. When I booked, there was no restriction on timings mentioned. My booking only specified the date for long-stay parking as 2nd March. It did not mention specific timings but the terms on the printed confirmation I had with me also stated that parking was per 24-hour period. I explained this to the assistant but they were still very reluctant to allow me entry to my pre-paid parking. On departure, I didn't realise that you need to signal for the shuttle driver to stop / that there were multiple stops, because the displays were not all working on the shuttle and, when eventually pressed, the stop button didn't make a sound or visually flash up as the shuttle stopping. This resulted in me having to walk two stops back to the car. Not having a ticket after the entry issue, I had to call for assistance at the barrier again to be permitted exit and it took several minutes for a response, during which time I was blocking the exit barrier. All in all, not a great experience.

Easy to park and excellent transfer from the airport with minimal waiting.

Allow time for the bus connection and finding the car-park. Can be a bit stressful especially trying to see the signs in the dark. On return you will need to go to the general bus stop area and read the timetables to locate where to get your return bus as there are lots of bus stops. Od have rather paid the extra for valet parking but that didn’t open until 5 am which thought would be too late for 7 am flight. But baggage check-in in tact didn’t open until 5.20 am
