“Bought this Flipper Remote for my elderly mother who has dementia. We set her up with new TV on an Aerial (cancelled Sky). Programmed this remote control for the 4 channels she watches. She was able to work the controller from day one. Gone are the problems caused by 2 remotes and no telephone calls to say TV is not working. Would highly recommend this product.”

“Fantastic product. My father in law who is blind and is very forgetful was getting very mixed up with his normal remote control. He has no problem with this one and we have keyed in the channels he uses with his Virgin box. Would definitely recommend!”

“Purchased this for my father who previously had two controllers and daily got in a mess pushing buttons and loosing channels . Despite simplifying instructions for him on a laminated sheet, I still had four or five calls a day to say the tv was broken. My son tried to set up this controller and succeeded setting it to normal tv but not to sky, so we called in a company who set it fully and programmed in the channels that dad watches. Like anything with a person with dementia, he didn’t want the change, he wanted to keep his old controllers and insisted his tv was fine and that he didn’t have problems with it !! After a few hours of using the new controller he now seems happy and says he is getting used to it. We are only one day in, but hopefully he will now be better placed to choose his programmes without getting stressed when he mixes up the buttons. Simplicity means happy oldies.”

“Total nightmare setting it up. Two carers tried to do it for my Dad, both techy people. Really struggled, booked a tech support call, they didn’t call as arranged, messages left via Facebook etc. No response, the damn thing still isn’t working. Ivectried to set it up too as has my nephew who is studying IT st Uni....still can’t get it to work. Quite how this is designed for someone with dementia beats me. Very disappointed as still having to make a forty five minute round trip to turn on tv for my Dad! Feel quite ripped off.”

We're sorry to hear that our customer is unhappy with their Flipper remote control. We've contacted the customer directly to resolve this and get the device working for them. Regarding the lack of returned calls and messages, we have checked our customer service system and have no logged correspondence with this customer and believe that they may have contacted the manufacturer directly instead of the AlzProducts team, which sometimes happens. We'll update this review with further information after we've resolved this for the customer.
