“The clock is a good size and thickness, and has a clear display of time and date. It only needs two AA batteries, which should last a good few months. Setting the time was straightforward, and the radio control should keep it very accurate. The display is a good size. I use it by the bed, and find it is not so easy to read in dim light.. The digits are black - and - white liquid-crystal, rather than glow-in-the dark LED, so it requires room light to view it. Because of reflections from other lights, it has so to be be viewed from the right angle.”

Hello Richard, The Viso10 doesn't have a backlit screen, as you have already mentioned in your review, for this reason it isn't the best option for night-time viewing. However, a number of the key features of this clock aren't available on clocks that have a backlit display, such as the radio controlled time, battery power instead of mains, along with the low price. If night-time visibility is important then we would recommend the DayClox digital calendar clock.
