“Left the review for several weeks so that I could assess the units performance. Wr have a warm air heating system and dust from heating ducts was a real problem. There has been a very noticeable reduction already throughout the house. I have COPD and the air quallity has improved it feels cleaner and fresher.”

“It’s early days yet but the machine has really reduced pollutants in the air. I use it with the PF40 filter. What I would say is that potential purchasers should double check that they are OK with it’s size and the noise levels. It’s big and I found it fairly difficult to come up with a convenient site for it. At speed level 4 - the required speed for my lounge/dining room - it’s noisy : c.57db. So make sure you have a spot for it and are prepared to get used to the noise. Running it at a lower than recommended speed to cut the noise, is pointless - you don’t get the required purification effect.”

“So far it's early days (it only arrived today) but my wife and I already remarked that we feel like we are breathing cleaner air in our kitchen. With two dogs and a 9kw log burning back boiler stove (which is lit for about7 hours a day at the moment and which heats the house and makes our hot water) we have felt for the last six years or so that we were coughing and sneezing a lot (and the clouds of particles when the sun shines through the windows were/are like snow). With a young son we made the decision that his health required the best solution we could buy. It doesn't solve the issue 100% but given that the stove is not an easily changed feature in our house we felt this was the best option.”

“Great purifier. Worth money. I also bought the air quality monitor. Both devices let me control the quality of the air in my bedroom. I have a really good night sleep now.”

“Expensive but very good. Filters seem to last a long time although this is purely a timer and not a sensor.”

Regarding the filter life indicator: yes, it does not actually measure contamination in the filter or pressure differentials, as this would cause a significant increase in overall price of the product - especially if done properly. However, the sophisticated filter life indicator in the IQAir high-performance air purifiers does take actual hours of usage, contamination levels (which can be set for each of the three different filters and types of contamination), and speed setting the unit is used, on into consideration. This - in combination with IQAir’s fifty years of experience - makes the filter life indicator surprisingly accurate. “It arrives already assembled, you just need to put the castors on which takes less than 5 minutes. Great looking machine, very sturdy and quiet motor at low speeds. Easy operation. Great product so far.”
