“I first came across Untied on the HMRC website. Untied is a user friendly platform for recording transactions relating to rental property income and expenses and likewise business transactions for the self employed . The site also offers all the tax forms representing the various sections of the HMRC Self Asssessment forms in much the same format. One can connect directly with HMRC through their website. It is also possible to submit and pay HMRC through the website Untied are a great team with excellent customer service. They offer a short introductory meeting with Kevin. Learning to use their platform via both the App or the browser is fairly straightforward and the support team is always available if one wishes to find out how to do something on their website. I am currently preparing for MTD but hope to use them to submit end of year tax returns in the future. I have already recommended them to other family members. Highly recommend.”

“I signed up to use untied to meet my MTD obligations next year, I did so now so that I'd have time to iron out any problems I might find before it started to matter. I went with untied as they were one of only two companies that HMRC recommended that met my needs. I opened my untied account, linked my bank accounts with ease and within a few hours I'd populated my current tax year to date seemlessly into untied! A few manual transactions added for cash etc and a quick cross check with my existing records and all tallied. Could not believe how easy it was! Even if you do not need to meet MTD as of next year, I'd still recommend signing up now! I had a couple of queries which I emailed in and received speedy responses to. My next step is to voluntarily sign up for MTD now, and so signed up for a Teams chat with Kevin to ensure I had the correct understanding of the process. Really friendly forum, Kevin dealt with mine and another gentleman's queries with clarity. We as users made a few observations regarding untied which Kevin was keen to take on board and address to make untied even more user friendly. So far brilliant.”

“I used to be with Quick books but wasn’t happy with the preparation for MTD. Untied have been excellent, great support in the set up and it’s so easy to use now. I’ve submitted my 1st 2 quarterly returns easily and am really impressed with the product and support offered. Many thanks Untied, as a small self employed business owner, I’m no longer concerned about next years changes. Highly recommend Untied.”

“I would like to thank Kevin for yesterday's onboarding session. It was rather short (or at least it seemed so), but very useful for me. “I found untied easy to navigate around and I know it will save me a lot of time and aggregation when preparing my tax returns. As a landlord I wanted to get the right software ahead of the introduction of MTD and I decided to take advantage of untied’s no commitment one month free trial. As most reviewers comment, untied’s support department is excellent and they are more than happy to help. I’ve signed up!”

“I am very early in using untied but so far it is outstanding. There are answers to almost all my questions in the easy to navigate help pages and anything else is answered swiftly by the support team. It's so simple to use, linking to bank accounts, tagging transactions and it really seems like they've thought of everything.”

“Untied was a great choice out of the many offered on the HMRC site. Their tagging system is very simple, and there is almost no work to do after one has spent time tagging transactions from the start of the financial year up until the date when you begin to use Untied. In a friendly phone call they talk you through the initial process of linking Untied to your bank account(s) and to your HMRC account, and thereafter they let you know whenever they spot transactions on your bank account, so you can tag them (e.g. business expense, personal transaction, business income, pension contributions) as you go along. Any mistakes can easily be rectified before you submit to HMRC, and Untied is prompt and helpful with any queries.”

“As a freelancer with no formal accountancy training (I have always just kept track of everything in Excel) I must admit I was slightly dubious about this whole MTD thing, but I have to say I am a complete convert, thanks to Untied. It's intuitive and simple to use, and I have had no problems at all getting to grips with it. The Untied team is very friendly and helpful, and I can genuinely see how this platform is going to make my accounts easier to do - all by myself, without any expensive paid support - at the end of each year. To sum up, I would say, "Don't be afraid of MTD - just used Untied and it will be easy!"”
