“Combined with the standoff these make the tower very stable indeed. But... they need to be made with an element of adjustability. As they are, the ground needs to be completely flat to use them. If the ground is even slightly higher at the point where the stbiliser sits on the ground then you're stuck. The cross pieces on the tower stop the stabiliser being slid further up the tower so thought needs to be given to making the stabiliser length, and the stabiliser brace, adjustable. The stabiliser is pretty much essential, but as supplied it can be difficult or impossible to use.”

Hi, thanks for your feedback, however rather than the stabilisers being adjustable, we do already offer Adjustable Height Base Plates and Adjustable Height Castors as optional extras which means you can raise the height of the actual tower to avoid this situation. If you don't have either of these, when this situation arises, we recommend making up the height of the ground with timbers so the stabilisers can be fitted above the horizontal on the frames then the stabilisers will make good contact the ground. Remember, the stabilisers are not load bearing, they are designed to 'stabilise' the tower. I hope this makes sense - it is a useful tip for future purchasers of our Classic DIY Tower system which is used and enjoyed by many thousands of customers nationally. We have been making this tower now for more than 32 years!

“I placed a order, then a week later I phoned after still not receiving pads. I was told that they had been returned due to no access. Right now I'm still waiting. Do I have to wait until Toptower receives them back before I get my order? Well, still waiting! Eventually it came, then I realised that it was obviously the size the box that caused my parcel to be returned. The box was approx 12" sq. Cheers.”
